libperlio-via-symlink-perl software package provides PerlIO layers for create symlinks, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libperlio-via-symlink-perl
libperlio-via-symlink-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libperlio-via-symlink-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libperlio-via-symlink-perl *
You will get with libperlio-via-symlink-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
